Birds
Singers of the Smokies! Could you imagine how quite the woods would be without birds? I think they make the experience better each time. I'm definitely not the best bird photographer. I have a lot to learn, but I really enjoy watching them and trying to capture a few images. From songbirds to woodpeckers and owls to waterfowl, each offer its own challenge in photography.

Smoky Mountain Birds
Eastern Meadowlarks, Pileated Woodpeckers and even a Wilson's Snipe! It's always a Smokies surprise!

Owls
Owls are by far my favorite birds to photograph. I think I could spend all day with one, just watching them.

Waterfowl
Who doesn't like sitting by a lake watching ducks and geese? There's always so much to learn.
